"Till death do us part", a letter to my husband

How do I begin to thank you for the life you have given me. A life that included 4 loving children, 4 beautiful grandchildren and memories that will last forever. We had more then the romantic love we had when we first met almost 40 years ago. That fades with time. Through the ups and downs, fights and reconciliations, laughter and tears we had something more. We had true love, commitment, trust, and most importantly we had friendship.

Since 1975 we have been together to celebrate every important day,  and holiday celebrations. They will never be the same.

When I walked down the aisle and took your hand December 9,1978 I made a vow to you " Till death do us part", , on November 27, 2013 I took your hand for the last time. I'm happy I was there to hold your hand when you took your last breath. I pray you know how much I miss you and thank you for all you have given me. My dear Paul I love you and miss you every day.

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
