One week after my mother passed away, I was talking with a friend of mine by my front door.  Despite the fact it isn't summer yet and the weather was still chilly (it was around April 25 or so) a beautiful butterfly landed on the brick of my house.  It was a yellow, pink and black monarch and she just sat there for a bit.  I automatically said "that's my mother".  It flew away.  It had been the only butterfly I had seen this year.  The next day, I was reading some spiritual quotes online and as I was scrolling down to read the next one, the clipart on the page was the EXACT same butterfly I saw the day before!  THE SAME ONE.  I knew it was a sign, it was my mother telling me she was ok.  So I copied and pasted and printed that exact butterfly and brought it to the tattoo artist.  He copied it perfectly and now she sits on my ankle, flying upwards to heaven to be at peace.  Simply amazing.

Here is my tatt. that Gordon and I designed together.  When we went in to start the process, the man who was doing the tatt. was his neighbor.  This is designed from Gordon's tatt. that was on his rt. upper arm, and it reflects faith, hope and charity.  IMG_4286.JPG

This means "never forget you" for my father who died 1/27/11. Just got this tattoo last week, almost seems to give me some closure.

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
