I wanted to some how have a memorial for me, for my sweet grandbabies, it has been so difficult trying to accept all this. My tatoo for my grandkids John D. 13 years old and Erin 9. John D. Always had a heart of gold, he never said a bad word about anyone, he was so sweet and thoughtful and put others first. Even when he was bullied at school because of his weight, he never said a bad thing to the kids that teased him. He was so smart too, played the violin and was in the chest club. He loved dolphins!   My little Erin was such a sweet little girl, when she was a baby I taught her to sing(you are my sunshine) she has always been my sunshine. So my tattoo represents Erin as the sun and John D. the dolphin that is watching over her until we all get to heaven. I love and miss you John D. and Erin

"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection.
