Don't grieve alone; 14,000 members and growing
M -
I understand the pain of loosing a sibling. My sister didn't have cirrhosis, she had another cancer, but she was only 47. Her birthday was February 1. I didn't think I would make it through that day. She was my best friend. Everyday, I feel like I failed her in so many ways. She lived 1200 miles away, so we couldn't see each other often. She was so far away, it was so hard not to be there for her 9 hour surgery. I lost Robin on November 13, 2012. I feel as though someone ripped a hole the size of a bowling ball in the center of my chest. Some days aren't so bad, but others, I feel the tear fresh and new each day. I can only pray that you have someone to talk to. I find it difficult to talk to anyone about her. Hopefully, we can both get the support we need from this site to deal with the grief of loosing our siblings. I would like to be here for you as well. Feel free to email me or message me anytime.

Piper, I'm sorry for the loss of your sister. Its recent, and she was young. I know how that feels-my brother was just over 50 when we lost him.it was about a year before you lost your sister, that we lost him.Birthdays and holidays are tough-i had a cake and candle for him anyway, though i didn't sing. i also just lost my Love, in the last 2 months, so i'm grieving deeply for both these guys. My thoughts are with you..
