Hello Caiti,
Welcome to the group we all know all to well about loss. I lost my gran feb. 2008 and its very hard to cope with.
I wish i could tell you that it will get better with time but for me its still hurts as bad as the day she died for me anyway. You just need to talk, cry and vent when you need to that is the key to coping. If you keep it all inside it will drive you insane. Always know that we are all here for you
Dear Caiti,

I know what you are going through..losing my grandma was the worst thing in my life too.I cant say the 2 yrs she has been gone is easier now and there are still moments when i dont think i can go on, but i have learned talking about her to anyone who would listen has helped.I also made a memory bracelet that i wear and when things get tough i look at it and know she is always with me. get different beads that when you look at them it reminds you of something about her..like i have 2 green leaves on mine that remind of the love of plants she had and that she taught me 2 tear drops beads for the 2 yrs she has been gone .2 hearts that are hers and mine..something to think about.i love my bracelet! We are here together to support each other through the tough times.

Addie replied to Kali's discussion It was not supposed to be like this in the group Being the Other Woman/Other Man
"Kali I’m so so sorry you are going through this. Grief is hard enough, but going through it secretly, all the while having to continue showing up for your kids, is just brutal. Perhaps your friend was careful to hide your conversations behind…"

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
