2 weeks ago, my wife chose to take her own life while I was at work and my 18-year old daughter was at school, 1-week after my daughter's birthday. We had been married 19 good and loving years. We are crushed and miss mom so much the agony of her being gone is almost unbearable.

My husband was terminally ill with cancer and sufferred for a year, then one day he asked me to go to the grocery store to buy him some tangerines and when I came home, I found him, he had shot himself in the head. I didn't even know he had bought a gun. When I think back even though all the signs were there, I didn't see them. I was sure he was going to get better, he was only 30 years old, our dtr was 8 months old, now she is 11. Eventhough I know its true, it still seems unbelievable after 11 years. I still have questions about it I hope one day will be answered.

rachel be there for her that is all you can do, hanging is perhaps one of the most violent and painful ways to die, a part of me still does not believe that my cousin hung himself. But what helps is having friends and family. I too have been down that road and I realize that suicide is not the answer. Life is a gift a very precious gift not meant to be squandered.

i think my cousin had many problems including addiction, he also lost his best friend two years ago in a motorcycle accident, they are buried together in the cemetery in an double plot.

i dont know what to tell you grandma g, except that your daughter in law needs to talk about it. because holding it in is not healthy. her mother in law needed help but like so many of us who battle mental health issues she was in denial about it. there is nothing that can be said or done to bring them back, and what really pisses me off is when people say that they have gone to a better place. wrong, they should have got help, if my cousin had he might not be sober but at least he would be alive instead of in a box in a cemetary.

My daughter-in-law's mother took her life Aug 2009, I just don't understand. She never left a note, but it was determined that she took someone elses drugs, it was in her system. She left behind three children, husband of 34 years, 6 wonderful grandchildren, brother and sister, and too many friends to even count. How can someone do this. No one had any idea she planned this. I can't even talk about her unless I cry. How can I help my daughter (daughter-in-law) if when she talks about her mom I start crying. I sometimes feel so mad because she did this, how could she bring such sadness to everyone around. (She had a brother and her mother take their own lives and she had told her whole family that "This has to stop!"). To me she knew the pain she would cause and she still did it. Can any one help me understand.

My brothers death certificate says suicide. I never believed it. I think he was murdered. But am I in denial?

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
