Hello,

Has anyone given a thought about the medicines that we take for various diseases? We always rely on the doctors and blindly take the medicines that they prescribe for us. But, what if they are adulterated? How do we trust them? There is a general myth that, if it is FDA approved, then the drugs are safe to use. It’s a different case if you have trusted family doctors. But otherwise, we run to the nearest physician for temporary illness, and trust them and the medicines prescribed by them completely.

Well, I recently came across this article, http://thelawfirm.com/fda-approved-drugs.html. It is said that FDA approved drugs are not always safe to use. The interests of the pharmaceutical industry are considered first. The FDA just analyses the data given to them by the drug companies, and it need not be true always.

So, what can be done about this? I would say, that we should always do our research before we take any medicines. Ask your doctors in detail about the medicines prescribed to you, and if you are still not convinced about it, you could always go for a second option. What do you all think about this?

Since my son's murder 9yrs ago, I have seen over 10 Doctors all who prescribed various medications for schizophrenia, Bipolar 1, which I do not have but wouldn't be ashamed if I did. I was diagnosed with Chronic Grief Disorder along with depression & anxiety. I have adverse reactions to many medications, therefore don't take them. I find best medicine for me is to have someone to talk to on a regular basis. So I'm happy I've found this forum at least!!

It was not supposed to be like this

In 2014 I met the most amazing man ever. We were both in our very early 20s and were looking for different things at the time. We ceased communication for roughly 6 months. During which time, he completed basic training and joined the Air Force. By the time we reconnected he was already at his first duty station.. 8 hours away.We decided we wanted to continue our relationship and proceeded to cultivate a deeply emotional connection. Regular calls and video chats, visits while he was home on…See More
