Don't grieve alone; 14,000 members and growing
When you are grieving it’s important that you take care of yourself through difficult times. We’ve all been knocked off center and find it hard to take care of our own health needs.
How do we get through these difficult times and eat right to sustain our bodies? Here's a method to use at meal times:
Using your dinner plate, put a line down the middle of the plate.
That completes your well-balanced meal. If you just can't eat at all, you could drink a meal replacement like boost, ensure, shakeology, etc.
Questions are welcome.
Bluebird, I lost about 20 pounds when my sister passed. I think the first two or three days I literally ate bites of food and nothing else. I mainly have no joy in cooking anymore so I ate if my Ma cooked, otherwise we ate out. I had no desire to grocery shop, I had no motivation to do anything so eating was just like 'whatever' and I bought out a lot which was unhealthy and expensive. I'm still not eating right as I was using a health tracking app and really shopping for the right foods and such, watching my sodium and calories, but me and my sis would go shopping together and I had no heavy permanent burdens on my soul weighing me down and making me not care about life getting in the way of the shopping.
You lose someone important and you very quickly go into 'I don't give a shit' mode real quick.

Hi Jo, How can I be of help to you. Do you need guidance on what to eat? Basically focus on easy to prepare foods as well as easy to digest foods like mashed potatoes, puddings, scrambled eggs, etc. Thinking about you.
